It has been -25 c here for the last week. I am Leaving for Oz on Dec 29 but with weather like this I wish I could go right now. Making this decision to go was a tough one as it takes a bunch of time and money to go to the other side of the plant to go play Hang Gliders. At least once in every Muslims life they must go to Mecca and for Hang Glider pilots our Mecca is the Australian comp season. I will be flying in the Forbes aerotow meet from Jan 3-10 and then the Bogong cup from 13-20. I hope that the practice pays off and helps my performance at the worlds at Big Spring Texas in August.

Scott, we, unlike the Muslims, have more than one Mecca. I named my car the "Hajjimobile", because it has been to one of the Meccas of hang gliding, namely the Point. Our religion is much more flexible than most others, which is why we fly "flex-wings". Good luck in OZ, have fun, and stay safe. I'll be watching yours and OB's blogs for updates.
